Trickle Charger not charging while battery connected

UPDATE:

Something weird about the charger. Tried another one. Works fine as expected on and off the bike.
 
I have similar problem, except, i stupidly left the key at on and left the garage - so the battery got completely drained.
Tried the charger on car battery - works fine. I tried jumping the bike off the car battery but the ECU goes nuts with all the needles dancing randomly up and down...

Any way to charge the battery?

You tried this with the car NOT running,,,,right.....
