KMC chains - any experience ?

Thanks guys!
Don't know what mileage is on the chain and sprockets, got the bike in autumn of last year, rode it for a bit. Chain was loose, adjusted it to the limit. Got to change it now.

What's the mileage on the bike? The first chain change I did on a previous bike was the chain only (DID X-ring IIRC) with stock original sprockets. The chain lasted as long as the first chain, but the sprockets were definitely worn. So 3rd chain change was chain (DID O-ring IIRC) and aftermarket sprockets. 4th change will need both again. Will try an EK Screw Type Master Link next time.

get a more side on pic of the sprockets...but you're probably better off getting new sprockets and chain. Steel sprockets, the aluminum ones don't always hold up as long.

I'd agree with DemonPig. Looks to be at it's half life. Up to you, just replacing the chain will shorten the life of the chain.

Quick search for a VTR rear sprocket...zoom in to see the teeth. Yours have less shoulder on the teeth.

better look at what a better profile is...teeth aren't as pointed...
