Hi there riders, name is Ivan, moved to Toronto few weeks ago from a little country in Eastern Europe called Serbia. Back home I have 4 bikes: kawi 636, KTM EXC 125 2-Stroke, Yamaha WR450F and my favorite Suzuki V-Strom 650.

Planning on Buying a ADV bike here too, as soon as I get my license transferred to the Canadian one. Any suggestions on dealers, websites as well as routes where to ride, especially some dirt roads with the hidden nature gems at the end will be greatly appreciated .

Welcome. If you can get a letter from your previous insurance company stating your insurance history and record it may help you a lot with your hunt for insurance here - if you haven't already explored that, well, you may be in for a shock. ;)

Assuming you had a full motorcycle licence in Serbia try to make sure you get it transferred to a full "M" class licence here. We have a graduated licence system for both cars and motorcycles but a full M (vs the graduated M1 or M2 classes) will also help with your hunt for less expensive insurance.

Your age will make a big difference as well. 25 or over makes a significant difference.
