Squishing/squelching/sucking noise after fork seal replacement.

So I just changed my fork seals on a 2006 gsxr 600, not to hard and everything went smoothly. Fork oil was measured properly and made sure the inner rod had hydrolic pressure all the way through. With the forks back on the bike, when I compress the forks it's quiet but as it comes back up it makes a Squishing/hissing sound. Is this normal? Any ideas?

There are so many components that need to work properly with each other that it's hard to say what it could be.

I've rebuilt quite a few sets of USD and regular forks - never had them squeak after. Plus that gsxr has nice internals for it to be making noise.

Forks do make normal noise when they are compressed, if that's what you are hearing - it's all good.

Did you pre lube the seals , bushings , orings etc?
