There's more to this story than meets the eyes
 
Some of the victims were shot three times and survived. You get hit three times in the torso with an AK47 (7.62x39mm) and you don't survive. I suggest he used handguns, likely 9mm, .38 or .40 cal. I heard he ditched his long gun, whatever it was, because it malfunctioned. Regardless, the jerks in the Liberal Party are always frothing at the mouth when they get an excuse to outlaw firearms.

surprisingly i haven't seen any frothing at the mouth
