It'll still get bought back, it just makes the paperwork more complicated. Certainly not all of the details have been published yet. Wait until they do.

Our situation was December 2014, so it's not an issue in our case.
 
Unfortunately I called vw and they said my only option was to get the fix ...no buyback or trade in offer included for my deal.

And yea your case should be good all options still apply for you.

You may wish to discuss the matter with the lawyers handling the case - the info is on the tdiclub thread and I think you are already on that forum. Now is the time to point out situations like this.

If it's a gen 1 car (no AdBlue / DEF fluid) we should know by March whether there is a fix or not.
