Charges have been laid in connection with a collision in North Dumfries that left a 61-year-old Kitchener woman dead.
On Sept. 15, a dump truck and a motorcycle collided on Dumfries Road near Cedar Creek Road.
The collision occurred as the truck was making a left turn into a driveway while the motorcycle approached it from the opposite direction.

Police announced Thursday that the driver of the dump truck is facing charges in connection with the crash.
According to Waterloo Regional Police, a 62-year-old man from the Hamilton area is facing charges including careless driving, making an unsafe turn, failure to accurately complete a daily inspection report and driving a commercial vehicle with a major defect.
 
As someone in the industry....aggregate haulers are at the bottom of the pack in many perspectives in regards to safety, experience, patience, caution....professionalism...just about everything. Give them a wide berth.

I do believe the thread started somewhere other than the fallen riders forum and was moved here. Could be wrong.
