Last year friends rode the Trans Labrador and this summer we rode the Tran Taiga (took the North Road / Route Nord to get to the JBR).

Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a long gravel run for next summer, preferably in either Ontario, Quebec or Manitoba.

We typically vagrant camp and as you can imagine we don't need a lot (or any?) creature comforts beyond beer and even that was sketchy this summer since the Cree Nation is mostly dry.

How about the Capreol Rd - It's not as long as the roads you described, but in that neck of the woods, it shouldn't be too hard to find more of the same.
Same goes for Sultan Industrial Rd. Both in Ontario, well north of Sudbury.

I'll have to check out the Capereol Rd. We did the Sultan both ways about three years ago on the way to & from Thompsom Manitoba. I was on my Wing then. We rough camped midway on the way back.

Thanks tat2. I had seen this site before but didn't think of it. The Swish loop and the big empty look like real possibilities. Maybe we could do both in one go since they appear close
