where are all the end of season track bike deals??

The difference in maintenance and build quality (I've personally seen the results of both) would have me going to the ZX10.
Alex I need your bike!!! ...then reality checks in :(

Just saw your tag line.

"Retired from racing - Enjoying my $$$"

The bikes isn't sold yet. You will be back.

If i didn't just get my r6 last year I would be all over that Daytona!

So as many of you probably know or have heard. I didnt have a great weekend on the little 400.

Friday was great and the bike did over 50 laps and pulled strong and was fantastic to ride.

Saturday came around, and I started the bike for morning practice and after about 3 laps knew something was wrong.

Sure enough, the head gasket let go.

I am taking this as a sign that its time to move on to something else.

The bike is a 1991 Bandit 400 frame, with a 1996 GSX400 motor.

What the bike has/comes with.

-Full Hindle pipe
-K&n filter (retains airbox)
-Bandit 1200 rear shock
-race tech springs and 15w oil
-brand new (only 50ish laps) front brake pads with rebuilt caliper
-Russel steel braided lines
-New wheel bearings front and back
-Gearing is set for Shannonville, but I have mosport and Bogie gearing as well.
- 2 brand new rear sprockets, 1 brand new front (still in bag)
- 1 off CNC case cover (beautiful work)
- Frame sliders
- Converted to GP shift

What else it comes with:

- Spare full motorcycle/parts bike (motor is blown)
-Wheels are straight
- Forks are good
- Caliper in good nic
- spare tank
- spare body work (x2 tail sections, side covers)
- spare head with 16 brand new valves freshly lapped in (work done at Cyclemaster)
- Spare cylinders
- spare bottom end
- spare crank
- spare CDI/Coils/Regulator/wiring harness x2
- 1 Set of rains (pilot road 3s)
- Spare gasket set (including head gaskets) x2

There is essentially 2 full bikes, and 3 motors, with a bunch of extras on top of that.

I am looking at taking a step back from racing for awhile

I was looking at $2300 for EVERYTHING. But if a person from the VRRA is going to race it, then I would let it all go for $2000

oh man. pull the R3 out of the garage ! lockwire it ! lol
Is the full spare bandit, the one you recently purchased in ottawa area?
Im guessing you'll change that head gasket and be out racing next round.

No, I am done with this bike.

It has been 2 years and less that 100 laps.

Time to part ways.

There are 2 full bikes. The Racebike and the street bike, plus a spare motor, and a **** pile of parts.

The bike needs someone who can wrench properly, and has the space to do so.

It ONLY needs the head gasket swapped, and I have 2 of them already.

I will be out at round 3 with a new bike.

It is good to hear you will be out for round 3. Care to mention the bike you will be on? Maybe you are keeping it a surprise?
You gotta tell me though, is the recently purchased bandit the spare bike? or is the recently bought bandit going on the street?
Best of racing luck to you. Hope to maybe get out to RACE this year for some spectating. Im waiting for a knee surgery date so spectating will be as close to racing as I will get this year.

The $300 Bandit I bought was just a parts bike. As it had a fat hole in the #1 piston. The motor was basically junk. But It has straight forks and wheels, and had a CDI etc...all the expensive stuff.

I have 1 working motor, 2 spare heads, 1 extra set of barrels, 1 spare crank, spare forks, wheels, etc....plus lots of crash spares.
