Perfect weather for a ride and part of my route included the 507 and Glamorgan. Post Labour Day and not a weekend so traffic was nonexistent as I came up on 2 cars going north and 1 coming south, easily passed.
Bad news is that on the 507, about 2 - 3 km south of 503, construction crews were just finishing up a 1.5km two lane strip of a chipseal vs. asphalt refinish of the road surface. I asked the flag guy if they were planning to do more chipseal repairs on the 507, but he did not know. Road surface was terrible, hopefully it will pack down some, but no doubt that curves there will have to be taken slower and more carefully in the future.
With County and Township budgets the way they are we're seeing more and more chipseal vs. asphalt repairs in this area and this does not bode well for riders.
