Radiator Fan

My radiator fan keeps coming on so quickly when im riding or sitting on a red light for just few seconds. Is this normal ? Does this mean my bike is heating up really quick ? I was wondering how often other peoples fan turn on while riding normally. This hot *** weather aint helping

Check your coolant level? Low coolant leaves less of it in the system to absorb the heat properly so the fan will short cycle.

That said, it's almost expected it'll come on in this sort of weather after even 10-15 seconds of sitting at idle after being under load. Mine cycles on and off fairly regularly in this heat.

What bike is it. What's the temperature gauge show when the fan comes on.

Some bikes have the fan controlled by an old skool thermo switch that only turns it on just before the engine overheats.

Some bikes have the fan controlled by the ECU, which pre-emptively turns the fan on depending on other conditions (e.g. below a certain road speed) to delay heating up when stopped in traffic.
