Random question

I know this is a really random question, but why do motorcycles use Allen/torque bolts instead of just a a regular bolt and screws?
Most machines are gradually shifting from the bolt. I assume its because of the simplicity of wrench needed to operate them. Allen wrench rather than ratchet & socket

It's a conspiracy by the tool manufacturers.

Actually the socket screw heads are smaller so recesses can be smaller. I also find that by the nature of their design they have to be made of stronger steel.

The Japanese, and let's be honest you're targeting the Japanese here, have a long history of copying and improving on existing technologies. I don't think you'll be surprised to learn that Sochiro Honda's first humble domicile heavily favoured Ikea.
