Lake Placid ride late August

I will be riding from the Barrie area to Lake Placid NY towards the end of August and with a close eye on the weather forecast. A maximum of three nights to keep it simple. I may be dreaming but I am welcoming any woman with a bike to come along for the ride. It's the absolute best region you can get to the same day. I stress the same day because it is a long haul for most riders. Send me a pm if you would like to know the route I am taking, etc.

Just got back from that ride a few weeks ago - went to the Alex Bay rally and then did Lake Placid as a day trip on the Saturday. Great scenery.

If you want to add a little adventure go down through picton and take the ferries over to Kingston, take the Wolf Island ferry across there and then the private ferry to the USA. None were particularly time consuming and added a little variety to the trip.
