Motorcycle driver in critical condition after highway collision

A man in his 40's is in critical condition after a collision involving a motorcycle.
The crash happened around 5:00 P.M. on the 417 eastbound near Parkdale.
An off-duty paramedic was the first to arrive on scene, and initiated treatment to the motorcycle driver who was found to be unresponsive.
The man sustained head and shoulder injuries after striking the guard rail.
He has since been transported to the trauma centre.OPP are investigating.
