Toronto to Hudson's bay

Our trip last year, this is how long it takes me to make a simple webpage :)

Toronto to Hudson's Bay and back on a Motorcycle

It's more commonly known as James Bay but Hudson's Bay is easier to find on a map :)

The bugs on James Bay road were terrible, but non-existant elsewhere. I have since replaced my windshield but haven't painted the scratches over. Don't know if that's something I can do myself or should look for a specialised shop? Or I wonder if they can paint it at the body shop I take my car to...

When travelling in bug country, I try to put two coats of wax on the leading edges of the bike before leaving.
It really does make it a lot easier to remove the bugs.
Your windscreen should have come with a list of recommended products that you can use on it.

Try this method for removing bugs. A fabric softener sheet and water.

The moral I get here is to know your copper grades. Talk to a plumber before you hit the road...

Heh :) I tried a little bit to make sure I use the thickest copper available, but I kept getting confused which colour writing was supposed to be thicker copper. It's hard to see after you cut it because the cut makes it look thicker than it is.

So I just used whatever. Probably the cheap stuff mostly (red?). But I'm never talking to a "pro" plummer again unless he's recommended by someone I trust, got ripped off bigtime last year (on an actual plumbing job).

Someone on another forum suggested the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser for bug removal.
I haven't tried it yet, but it should work.

Go by letter. The closer to the start of the alphabet the thicker the wall... eg type "L" is thicker than type "M" copper.
Curious, are you named after your father? And his father before him? Would explain your knowledge of copper (head road).

That's what I was planning to do, but then as I was cutting it and I had pieces all over the place I could no longer remember which was which and just used whatever :) Annoyingly - once you cut the pipe the burr makes it very hard to tell how thick the pipe is, so comparing them just by looking is really hard.

Do you know a trick to do it, or do you just remember the colours and don't mix them up?
