Honda CBR600RR being killed off in Europe

Or $900 more and you get the Blade....

The price difference is that big anymore which tempts far more to go for the 1000. This is what has killed the segment imho

typical Honda dinosaur mentality...always 3-5 years behind then when they introduce their new updates to the market they think ppl are that stupid to say ooooh look inverted forks, steering damper etc...

some of the comments here demonstrate that with the outdated designs...I guess the Honda kool-aid ran out for the customers and only some left for the Honda Execs.

...right. and then pay double (or more) for insurance.
good plan

Kids can't afford to insure either. For me, we're talking $700 a year vs $1000.. I'l pay 300 more to not have to buzz around at 10k rpm. I'd buy a six for the track, but I'd prefer a little acceleration without all the attention for the street.

Thats 43% extra in cost for insurance. I doubt i would need to take it to 10k on street.... maybe when merging to 400s

Then by all means buy a 600.. thanks for checking in. too COOL

p.s. Your math is suspect; show your work?

700x1.43=1001
That's 43%

I was hoping cool would bite; maybe he's still trying to work out weather he got it right lol

Anyway, you could also say $700 is only 30% savings over $1000.. over the course of 12 months.. meh. Moral is, you creatively account to suit any argument, but sales are speaking for themselves.

goes both ways... $1000 is (about)43% more than $700 but $700 is 30% less than $1000

but really, this is based on just random numbers someone pulled out of the air for insurance rates.

i want a 1000 SS but doubt ill buy one. my 600rr is cheap enough on insurance than when it comes to get another bike i can justify 2 on the road.
i really want a HD Bagger

First of all, dont make a fool of yourself challenging me about math. You're a mechanic, I'm an operating research specialist, guess what my degree is.

Second, you were talking about vfr800 . Atleast that what other posters were talking about. I doubt you need to take it to 10k on street unless you dont know how to shift.

Finally, your insurance figure is very generous. 1000cc SS in many case is reported to be *** raping rate.

See thread title (Re: Honda CBR600RR being killed off in Europe) and get back to me on intelligence. At no point was I ever talking about VFR800's, nor do I think anyone else was

I was talking MY insurance and why I choose to go with a 1000 over a 600 SS. That is what I pay.. jealous?

Let's be honest; you're all in a knot because I didn't agree with you elsewhere so you've decided to get into every thread I've posted in a add your .02c... Good for you. But as my point seems lost on you, among other things, I must ask; who's the fool mister cool?

...question :
how many ***** did you have to suck at the insce brokers office to get that rate ?

.... and I don't live in a condo in downtown TO

i wouldnt be surprised that hes paying about a grand a year for a 1000cc SS. ive heard some people got quoted 1300 and 1400 on their 1k bikes from my broker...im $650 a year...really curious what the 1k would actually cost.
i know that GSXR600's have a higher ins rating than the cbr600rr.

state fram went based on CC, other companies go based on claims...less common bike, less claims...lower rates (to a extent i guess)

Ditched SF for Allstate this year.. Renewal came in at more than double what I had previously payed. Key to keeping the rate down is showing them the same lack of loyalty they show you. I call around every year and see what's available. I won't jump ship for 5%, but after a couples years of those small year over year increases, you can usually find pretty significant savings. Just be wary of what happened in this thread and do all the paperwork etc way early just in case there are underwriting issues
