Question about gasoline in containers.

Obviously your 40L of gasoline is BAD. I'll dispose of it for free if you drop it off in Vaughan.

I thought you're using only race fuel mister Kawi?!lol

It's dyed shell 91. Other option is a Sunoco fuel but it's not a "hp in a can" type race fuel. Besides, I'd go faster with a new tire than with the extra couple hp anyway.

Actually, that's not true. It depends on which supplier is supplying that particular Shell station. Many Shell stations that distribute 91 octane "premium" are supplying 91 octane gasoline with up to 10% ethanol.

Edit: just noticed all CanTire 91 octane is ethanol free.

I question how accurate or up-to-date that pure gas site is. On one hand they have a list of generalizations:

  • All Canada: Shell V-Power, Esso premium, MacEwen premium
  • Western Canada: CO-OP premium
  • New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, PEI: all premium grade gasoline
  • British Columbia: Chevron 94
  • Ontario: Costco 91; Canadian Tire 91; Ultramar 91

However, as others stated, I've seen Esso pumps stating up to 10% ethanol in their premium. Then, you go to their station list and it claims there is only one ethanol free station in all of Mississauga -- a Shell on Winston Churchill... so what happened with all the Shells, Essos, Canadian Tires, and Costco stations (not to mention any independents) in Mississauga?

Anyway, straight from the shell website: http://www.shell.ca/can/en_ca/motorists/shell-fuels/shell-nitrogen-enriched-gasolines.html

  • Shell V-Power Nitro+ premium gasoline contains 0% Ethanol.

Meanwhile, Esso's site doesn't make any claim about being ethanol free: https://www.esso.ca/en/ethanol
Our Esso branded gasoline currently contains up to 10%.

Anyway, I only seek out ethanol free gas when buying for my generator or lawnmower. The bikes typically use whatever gas station I pass by until it is nearly time to store them, in which case I'll just get the Shell V-power.

Canadian Tire 91 is ethanol free. From the horse's mouth.

Not to the best of my knowledge.

As mentioned I think the only real ethanol free option is Shell 94 now, everything else that was at one point ethanol free in premium is no longer, including yes, Esso - they now have NO ethanol free options.

I believe the Pioneer top tier premium was, at least at one point, Ethanol free as well, but you hardly see pioneer stations anymore (none around Me that I know of) to confirm.

My post was a statement. Not a question.
