Tips for buying a new bike from a dealer?

I kept the Givi LT 45 panniers that were on my DL1000 and just got the proper mounts for the FJ. Funny that they look way better on the FJ than they did on the Suzuki, even though the new bike is more compact. I also have a round blob Givi top case as my everyday solution to no backpack.
My pics are too big to load on this site, but I think that the top box somewhat camouflages the real nature of this bike to official eyes.

Emailed another dealer I was talking to and told him I went elsewhere and he immediately lowered his price by $200. THAT BS is exactly why I started this thread. I told him he should have offered me that to begin with and to beat it.

Anyways, barring any unforeseen circumstances, I will be the proud owner of a silver and blue FJ-09!
