The Ontario Provincial Police in Middlesex County is investigating after a head-on collision involving two dirt bikes killed two men.
The crash shut down Twelve Mile Rd. between Vanneck Rd. and Denfield Rd. in Middlesex Centre for several hours as police investigated.
Police say the bikes were headed in opposite directions when they collided. The drivers died at the scene.
Police won’t release their names until they notify the next of kin.

RIP riders. What terrible luck. Dirtbikes aren't that wide, to hit head-on on an open road just sucks.

OPP have released the names of two people killed in a dirt bike crash last Friday.
Cody Noble, 22, of London and 19-year-old Austin Newman of Middlesex Centre were killed when their dirt bikes collided on Twelve Mile Rd. between Vanneck Rd. and Denfield Rd. just before 11pm May 27.
Both men were thrown from their bikes and were not wearing helmets.
Noble and Newman were pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say neither bike was equipped with headlights.
The road was closed for roughly six hours as police investigated the crash.
