[h=1]Ontario Provincial Police on Sunday released the name of the man killed in a fiery Highway 3 crash that involved seven cars.
Michael Dostal, 66, of Brantford was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which occurred on Friday afternoon near Kingsville.
Police say the three-wheeled motorcycle driven by Dostal was travelling eastbound on Highway 3 when it veered into the westbound lane and crashed into a tractor-trailer hauling gravel. The motorcycle was then redirected back into the eastbound lane where it was struck by an oncoming Dodge pickup truck.
[/h][h=2]The tractor-trialer veered into eastbound traffic and collided with a Ford pickup truck that was carrying a camper trailer. The tractor-trailer then struck the driver side of a red Dodge pickup truck, which was also towing a camper trailer, before both vehicles ended up in the eastbound ditch.[/h][h=1]The driver of the red Dodge pickup was taken to hospital with what appeared to be life-threatening injuries. Police say the person’s health has improved and the injuries are non-life threatening.
Both the drivers of the transport and a black Dodge pickup as well as a passenger in the red Dodge pickup all sustained non life-threatening injuries.
Police say the investigation is still ongoing.
