Daily observations

It seems that blocking position means nothing when someone's past a certain age.

And about 2.5 seconds later he was slamming the brakes as traffic in front was slowing down (which i had already spotted)

Overtook you on the shoulder?

Gee.. I would be fighting hard to keep my cool...

Yeah the old man didnt even turn and look at me, and his wife didn't seem phased at all either.

I still passed them about 10 seconds later by going in the centre lane (that was going faster).
Although it was fakked, and stupid, and a waste of his gas... the fact that he left so much space makes me less ****** at him...and getting ****** at him would not have amounted to anything.

Just sad that the cop wasn't there to see that and stop them (she also looked kinda cute haha)

Too many people drive slowly in the passing lane there for no reason, that it no longer matters why you're driving slow, just that you are.

Look at all that open space to the right!

The video shows there was a car in the middle lane as he was passing me (otherwise he would've passed me on the right i'm guessing) And that's what i ended up doing, changing into the right lane and passing him lol. So i was still passing that car in the right lane as you can't see it in the 2nd picture, just no fast enough for mister lane splitter to get to the 30kph traffic ahead.

Because i remember looking in my mirror and thinking "is he slowing down" and then seeing that i didn't have an exit strategy since i was blocked to the right. Oh well.

Maybe you should get out of the passing lane and these things wouldn't happen to you, just saying.

So where do you go to pass cars that are in the middle lane?
I was passing one at 110, approaching slowed down traffic (as per his brake lights in the 2nd picture), he was driving at 120-130, i'd assume with the speed at which he passed me. Was i expected to abruptly brake down to 90, get behind the car to the right i had almost already passed to let this guy pass me at 120-130?

I think that would've increased my chances of getting rear ended by him if i slowed down abruptly in the same lane.
I could've moved over to middle pretty much around the same time his trunk was right next to me.

At that point i was more puzzled than anything else.

Passing lane etiquette. If a car in the passing lane is approaching a car in front and notices the car travelling faster than the traffic to his right and can't safely move over right away proper etiquette dictates to be patient. Give the car a chance to move over once he clears the traffic to the right. And if he does not move over to the right to let you pass than road rage.

This only applies to North America.

So apparently, when you're out riding in the boonies, getting flashed from a long distance by oncoming traffic doesn't mean your headlight's out, it means police set up a speed trap just ahead. I had no idea. Blew past the radar at 110 indicated, in an 80. Nothing happened.

Had a solid fish & chips in Beaverton. Would do it again.

That's been the unwritten signal for a very long time.... Either that or your high beams are on.

No pic but spotted today on 401: copper colored 2 door Toyota Yaris with left rear tire low on pressure and right rear tire wibble-wobbling (bent rim)

People need to shape up or ship out.

+6*C and dry. Lets take the Harley today. Just enough room in here for a sandwich.

Metric cruiser guy rocking a 1/2 helmet. I thought the etiquette was FF on a metric?

Found this next experience a little creepy. Kept my best poker-face-harley-scowl, but kept thinking 'Yo, #NOHOMO'

My bags are a little bit past the line. Hopefully I won't get stung by a Green Hornet.

As the downtown Shell was full-house with a line-up this morning, I stopped at a Shell on the way home. The Civic dude ****** me off - blocking both pumps.

Ha, ha, I can still squeeze in here. You'll have to wait for me or back up.

Off and on the DVP for gas has it's own benefits such as the Don Mills offramp and Lawrence onramp, with the diamond lane between the two.

I think the emerging trend for 2016 is 'ADV rider'. Did I capture Macdoc on his V-strom?

I think that truck needs a tune-up, or a dpf-regen, or something like that. I've been thinking about using a respro mask on my daily commute...

The second and third cars turning left _after_ my light turned green. And I assume there's a short time when their green arrow goes yellow, then red. Time to equip myself with a train horn. F^(&er5!!!

Glad I'm not the only creep who revisits his action cam footage for the hawt chicks.

A little known fact about the Heritage Softail, is that it has a built-in rifle rack.

A little gravel, a little mud, no big deal for the Harley. Definitely not a garage queen.

Looks like the match is already set-up. Pickup trucks, Harleys, Guns - Donald Trump approves!

It was a PPC-style carbine match. 50/35/25/15 yds, prone/sitting/kneeling/standing-strong-side/standing-weak-side.

Lots of bikes and waves on the way home. Looks like Guelph Line 1 and SR20 were being used as the 401 emergency detour.

Westbound 401 was jammed back to Milton due to the closure related to some tractor trailer crash.

Rode with a Street Glide for a few minutes. Couldn't hear his stereo.

And then passed this young lady on a CBR125 (I think). She was keeping with the traffic flow quite well.

I took the express and found out a little later she totally skunked me onto the 400 via the collectors. But I caught up to her just before the 407.

yeeeep..and observed in other countries like NZ & Australia. The headlight flash is more noticable as we dont have Daytime Running Lights there.

If that's your picture, then it looks like three of the four are waving. What more do you want? Hugs and kisses?
How come no one waves to me? :sad7:
