Opinions on Distanza's

I've been using TCK80's lately but am planning a trip out east in late May and early June and was thinking about the Distanza's.

Looking for a tire that's a little more highway friendly but might be up for a little bit of a little light off-roading.

Thoughts?

BTW. The bike is a F800GSA if it makes any diffrence

FWIW, I have never had them on my own bike, but I rode my friends 800GS with them.

I thought they were great on pavement. Grip was really good, quite sticky actually, and cornered really well. I also took them on gravel. It was OK but in deep gravel and muddy parts they were only adequate. I wouldn't want to go much further off road than that.

He complained as the rear wore out in 3k.

Thank you Sir. I also got good on road reviews over at ADV.

I rode to Montana on a set of TKC80's and they were a little chunky on the slab.

I've give the Avon's a go.

I ran fronts on my last Versys (no rears to fit). They lasted about 20ish thousand, and I completely agree with the handling comments posted by Delboy. Traction in the rain was really impressive too, and not terribly loud for the design of the tire. FWIW, I ran Scouts on the back.
