Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer benefiting the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre - Moto Safety Volunteers Wanted!

We are hosting the 9th annual Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer supporting the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre over the weekend of June 11th & 12th! In the past 8 years we have raised over 138 million dollars for ground-breaking cancer research at the top centre in Canada.

The Ride is a 2 day event that spans across Toronto to Niagara Falls. Over 5000 cyclists on average ride 200 km to raise help raise funds and demonstrate commitment to the cause. All participants meet at Hamilton at a camp we create for the night.

We are looking for enthusiastic, experienced motor cyclists to come join us on our Moto Safety Team.

Our Moto Safety Crew members are essential for helping cyclists stay safe on route. You would be paired up and would hop scotch along the route for the day.
You would be helping slow cyclists but not directing traffic.

We have around 50 men and woman that participate and our hoping to make this year better than ever!

How do you get involved? Register today here for $25.00!

This includes all your meals for the weekend, free beer at camp, accommodation in tents, hot showers and all gas will be reimbursed (receipts required).

To get more information you can contact Crew Coach, Alexa-Reigh Thomson at arthomson@conquercancer.ca

Look forward to hearing from you!

What exactly would you be doing ?

You would be helping at intersections throughout the day - making sure cyclists slow down, hold at stop signs/red lights. Once the last rider & caboose rolled through you would contact your Team Captain and they would dispatch you to the next intersection with your partner.

You would see most likely 3-4 intersections in a day.

Its an integral role for our event as motor cycles can move easily on the route and alongside cyclists. Occasionally you maybe dispatched to a location to have eyes on a situation for Dispatch as motorcycles can get there the fastest on our event.

Email me at arthomson@conquercancer.ca and I'd be happy to give you a call to discuss more!

You can not just cure 'cancer' with one medicine. There are many different types of cancers and all require different research as to how they act.

The cancer societies, foundations, etc are all hierarchical businesses with CEO's and CFO's that make six figure salaries and drive cars that you can only dream of. The ultimate scam is fund raising for cancer.

When at the University Hospital level they say "this is as good as it gets" in shrinking cancer tumours, well...

No one cared.

okay that's a separate issue, it's just very unlikely there will be a one-cure-all drug for every single cancer.

Did it last year. Mixed experience, I don't plan on doing it again. If you're thinking about it, PM me for details.
