What did you do OR have to do to your Race/Track Bike 2016

You are not afraid of what an extra 5 liters of gas can do to the handling of the bike? maybe make you lose time by lap that will undo the gain for not having to stop for gas?

Not at all.....It's not like we are riding flat out.......hell I can ride the entire 3 hrs without even being worn out by the end.
Think about it...other than an Ohlins shock, a steering damper and a slipon muffler, our bike is bone stock, right down to the 530 chain and steel sprockets, stock air filter, header-even the stock flapper valves are still operating in the airbox and exhaust. There are many other things that make our bike an underdog......I am certain our bike is way heavier than the rest, we even have the stock licencplate holder intact still,LOL.....and we are out powered by probably 30-50 hp.......seeing that another 8 lbs of fuel certainly isn't going to make a difference. I could knock 8 lbs off of me alot easier,LOL
Long gone are the days when we'd win by 10 laps.....but the races we did get beat this yr were only by 1 lap. One less pitstop and we are back in the hunt.

Got you. Max I was able to do last round was 2 hours straight with a red flag in between so we need the running out of gas part to change riders lol. With the Quick fill system we really don't lose that much time and with some configurations and where the pit stop is located we actually end up even. Also lots of people taking advantage of red flags to put gas and change riders, after all the penalty is a joke, not sure I'm going to race next year so it might not be an issue for us.

Regardless we had good times racing against you guys as always.

Bought a brand new bike this month, haven't ridden in 2 years now so I can't wait to get out there.

I've almost fit the body work, just need to put some dzus on the belly pan and two fasteners on the tail piece. I safety wired everything except the rear axle which I'll probably just pin. Ordered an exhaust, brakes, chain/ sprockets. I still gotta order some rear sets, change suspension, take the coolant out, lathe up some spools and crash protections. Anyone got any ideas which colour I should paint it.

Bad surprise after Monza 2015. 3rd gear is broken, so we need to get the engine down and to change the gear.
R1 is ok , so ready for jerez 3-4-5 January and then I will try to ship it here

I have an 09 great bike...make it race replica like the motogp of Carl Cratchlow..looks sweet.

Forks out, dropping off for full servicing and installing new springs (don't have the tools, and a friend is doing it as part of a deal we made for parts I was selling)...
Vinyl arrived in the mail today, so I'll be doing some minor fibreglass repairs soon and wrapping the bike up...

SAI/SAS system removed. Installed case covers. Replaced air filter.

My vortex leaks. Probably because the previous owner drilled a hole in the cap(I'm assuming to solve a vacuum lock problem).

The one on the F4i didn't though. I took the tank off and had it sitting upside down all day and it never leaked a drop.

I have 2 different new ones to test out and see how they go. Probably gonna drill and tap one for a barb and run a hose right to the normal tank vent.

Can confirm, vortex

Freshly painted one of my sets of fiberglass. Now just gotta spend some time on the vinyl plotter.

$4300 all Inc CDN (ky with every purchase). Lol.
Used to be a bit cheaper... Current CDN dollar stopped that.

What will this do for the ride? What difference do you expect to feel? I know lighter wheels can improve acceleration and lower unsprung weight makes suspension behave differently but I've never known anyone to make such a huge change. I'm curious :)

I will let you know, according to what I've read. Acceleration +1/10 sec per 100m. Braking is supposed to be much better...
First for me ever using carbon anything..lol. (Race bodywork is carbon/Kevlar). I'll look at my data on the bike and check the graphs to see the difference.
