who will take a chance ??? CSC RX3 Cyclon

Re: who will take a chance ??? CSC RX3 Cyclon & TT250

That seat looks like my old EX500 seat

The seat looks GREAT! Why don't more bikes have seats like that anymore? I had a CRF250L - great little bike but my GF wants to ride with me and we were SQUISHED on it. Would have kept it if it had a seat like this TT250.

Re: who will take a chance ??? CSC RX3 Cyclon & TT250

Looks like Aviva will insure once we shook the dust out their ears...

Allstate does in the US so should not be a problem here either.
Be nice if some one using Allstate got a quote.

@MacDoc not sure if posted yet, but curious : what's the seat height like? Looks pretty high.

2016 CB500F even better for the vertically challenged!

Re: who will take a chance ??? CSC RX3 Cyclon & TT250

They are narrow seats tho Joe. I'm a 30" inseam and it's fine for me.
Finally got some movement with my agent and CSC shaking he insurance tree so should get a price from Aviva next week which helps as that gives us multiple bike discounts.
I'm insuring it with kid as casual rider.
Now he's 25 insurance has dropped big time with Aviva and he's going to ride the Strom for the rest of the season.

Joe I'm only 30" inseam but manage the 35" klr - boots help of course and "sag". Once you swing your leg over and put some weight on the tall bikes come down a long way unless you are a feather weight.

Insurance moving forward..hope for final this week.
CSC sent us TWO fuel filters to replace the leaking one. No charge of course.

Rear shock is nitrogen filled and front forks are inverted.

This is the earlier blog before they brought this bike over

and some ongoing blogs ..

That's a good note...

We’re going to ride about 60 clicks today on a publicity ride in and around Qingdao, and then we turn in the bikes tomorrow. Woohoo!

It’s been quite a ride. 5000 miles, heat, humidity, lots and lots of rain, and not a single motorcycle problem. One flat tire (that was on my bike a day or two ago), but the good guys in Jinin had that fixed lickety-split! (I guess I was due for a flat…in 52 years of riding, it’s only the third one I have ever had.) These Zongshen motorcycles are bulletproof (both the RX1 and the RX3), and once again, they’ve proven their reliability.

It’s difficult to say what I’ve enjoyed more…the riding, the bikes, the camaraderie, the cuisine, the scenery, the Chinese people, meeting the members of the RX3 clubs in all of the cities we visited, the adventure, being famous in China as part of the Arjiu and Dajiu show, or the enormous feeling of accomplishment we are all feeling today. What a ride!

As you might imagine, it feels good to be here, and it feels just a bit sad to know the ride of a lifetime is nearly at an end. There’s so much more to tell about this grandest of all adventures, and I am going to do just that. Riding China, folks…it’s in work and it’s going to be epic! Preorder your copy now!

RX3 and TT250 basically the same motor.

I am 150 lbs and a 30" inseam and ride a KTM 530 EXC with a 38.8" seat height. If the bike is light it's not a problem.

I'd be interested in going for a ride with you Macdoc on my CB500X to see how that thing handles off road.

Re: who will take a chance ??? CSC RX3 Cyclon & TT250

Here is a developing blog on ADVRider about the model - it's far more off road oriented than the CB500x ( which I adore BTW )

So I can buy the bike in China and ride it there? hmmm...might turn into a bucket list item....

Re: who will take a chance ??? CSC RX3 Cyclon & TT250

Now there is a thought.

Looking for a source in Australia....this off road model is available and what a deal at $1999 all in Australian

Just need to find out if it can be converted to dual sport.

http://crossfiremotorcycles.com/product/cf250l/

there is an upscale one for $1000 more that looks ready to take on the OCR

I like the aircooled jobbie tho - 275 lb ...we like.

From the reading the 250 engine seems a beefed up 125 cc Honda design...

Tougher track

it'll do us just fine

Good video. That is the type of riding I like on the bigger bikes, I wish the CB500X had a 19" or 21" front tire. Rally Raid kit may be in my future if I can find one in Ontario to see it in person.

If I did not have the CB500X and I lived in the USA, I would have definitely bought this CSC TT250. I hope all goes well with it. Keep us updated.

Will do. Ordered the Tusk hand guards today ....we will stick with the stock bars.
Staff is going over the bikes based on the forum info.
I'm most concerned the front shocks get sorted.

I gotta say that upper end Australia jobbie could get into serious off road turf. The TT250 will be good for our use tho especially seeing this. Quite intrigued by the CG motor history and its low maintenance design.

For what you're looking to do these bikes will likely be fine. Enjoy and keep us updated.
