Email question for our tech guys

Hi Guys, I've recently found myself president of our locale CMVG section. One of the things I need to do in this position is send emails to all of our members (85). My personal email provider has a limit on the number I can send. Hotmail will allow me to do it but requires me to select the recipients individually every time I send. Can anyone tell me how or where I can set something up that will allow me to send out an email every day or three to everyone on the list?

Thanks

Create a text file with the addresses, separate each address with a comma
Copy and paste text file into "CC" in email.
Click send.

Doesn't your CVMG section have it's own email? If so, use it.

I could copy and paste but I don't want to have to do that everytime. If we had our own domain I could use that but we don't. I'll check out mailchimp, I was under the impression it was a pay site and we can't afford that.

Yep, a group distribution list is what you are looking for.

If hotmail doesn't do it for you, gmail works great -- just open contacts, click groups, click new group, and add contacts to it.

yahoo has a listserv you can create called groups... https://groups.yahoo.com
if you look on the left of that page.. and find ,, create a group. then fill in the info required.

this will allow all your members to join ,, or you can sign them in...
any message to the "group" email will go to all users.. or just the admin members ..
the admin can have a scaled authority to approve members, or messages, or make changes ..
also.. it is accessible anywhere you have web access... if they want to post or read while away from home
it gives you an archive to go back and check things easily searched
you can make it restricted so all members require approval to post.. to keep out spammers
it looks like https://groups.yahoo.com/group/cvmg is already taken,, but you could add your section to make it unique

I tried GMail once before for another group I'm involved with. As soon as you attempt to send an email to a bunch of people their spam software locks you out of gmail and you have to go through a procedure to get it back

I thought about that but it's a Vintage Motorcycle Group and unfortunately some of the guys are more vintage than the bikes. These guys could reassemble a basket case triumph with their eyes closded but don't expect them to use that interweb thing.
