DOT dirt tires

Where do you guys get MotoZ tires?
You can order them from Lang's offroad near London. Aviscious might have them.

I checked A Vicious Cycle's website this morning and didn't see them. Their site looks like it recently change. I'll likely drop in there when I need new tires.

They're distributed by Motovan in Canada so any of their dealers can get them: GP Bikes, etc, etc.

I didn't realize Gpbikes carried them... that's likely your best bet because I think you can get free shipping from them.

Lang's isn't free shipping, and most sizes seem to be out of stock.

Has anyone here tried one of these: http://gpbikes.com/offroad-mx/tires...id-mx-trial-dot-120-100-18-68r-rear-tire.html

I try to avoid mud anyway, although I imagine these would likely clog up fast and become slicks. These might wear longer and perform great on gravel and rock though.

As far as the tractionator S/T, I/T, or H/T... I've never tried any of them... but Brian from Shakespeare on ODSC (past ODSC and OFTR prez) always seems to recommend the S/T:

The IT front is an odd tire (I had two of them) as it will track across rutted ground like nobodys business. It does reasonably well in a bunch of conditions. It will do loam fine and hard pack, but when things get soft and loose, or muddy the side knobs tend to fill up allowing the tire to slide a bit. The ST's are are head an shoulders above it for the conditions I described..

When buying knobbies, buy a good set of Soft terrain ones. They are made of a harder compound and can handle pavement riding quite well. Hard and mid terrain knobbies wear out quickly on pavement.

Now... I am not saying his word is gospel, and I have never ridden with him, but he does have quite a lot of dirt riding experience so I imagine his opinion is worth something.

I always ran motoz st on my exc200, xcw300 and drz400. They will hookup and lift the front in almost anything. Bought mine at Mission Cycle in Angus.

I ran the intermediates(it), a couple times, but preferred the soft(st). Same traction, longer life.

Thanks. That seems to be the general consensus after reading a bunch of reviews. The ST sounds like it definitely works better for a broader variety of conditions. Riding Ganny so much I need that. Something that grips in sand but won't chunk like crazy on the jagged rocks.

Kenda trakmasters, although my next front is a dunlop, I think.

Some guys like the moto z tractionators.

I have the trackmasters on my drz400 also. They seem to work good in the dirt.
