Rear tire pressure

What's the thinking on this. A soft tire will have more contact area for hooking up off the line but a harder tire has less rolling resistance going down the track.

I have yet to play with this variable. Where would be a good place to start?

I run 20 psi on our B King using a Shinko Hook up tire with zero spin on a properly prepped track running mid 9 sec passes.
Chassis setup will play into it also, we are 5" over wheelbase/lowering links and strapped front end.

Factor in gonna chew through tires at a lower pressure.

Dunlop, 21 cold, 23 hot is what I run on track.

I see lots of guys now with the front end strapped. Think that would help with my 80 goldwing? It's stripped down and has solid struts in place of the rear shocks. What would "hardtailing" both ends be like?

12.6 @ 105mph is my best yet
