Vtwin or inline4 sound?

I think some of them use inline engines actually...might be why we sound so similar (or it could just be the 15-18k redlines lol)

What the technical regulations say:

  • The internal combustion engine of a Formula One car must 1.6-litres in capacity and rev-limited to 15,000rpm.
  • The engine must also have six cylinders arranged in a 90-degree formation, with two inlet and two exhaust valves per cylinder and a single turbocharger. They must also have a single tailpipe exhaust.

IMO, no engine sounds as good as a V8.

I never liked the weed-wacker sound of inline 4s. I prefer the V-4 firing order.

On an every day bike, nothing beats the sound of an Evolution Harley V-twin.

Ouch. Reading this just hurt my head.

That actually looks like it was worth the time money and effort it took to mount the damn thing.
That other video on the other hand.

I like the sound of the inline-4s the same way I like riding them: only at 10/10ths.

Inline 4 with a superimposed slight whine and a funky chirp when shutting the throttle at higher revs ...

Inline 4, the bigger the better, I'm not into riding for noise.

250-6 video is 2:56 long. Nice. Any bike sounds good if budgie fart when pounding into second.

L-twin fan for the most part, but i recently acquired an old British twin (Norton Commando) which sings to me. Nothing sounds like it.
