If I had to choose between the two I'd go 1050 triple.

Used to prefer a v-twin, but that was when i had one, now that I've got an inline-4 I prefer it. As long as its not stupid loud I like it; however; they can all sound equally obnoxious depending on the exhaust.

Nothing beats the sound of an inline-4, unless there super loud. and cruisers are just annoying and sound like shiit lol.
 
Agree on the V4>V-Twin>I4.... Riding an R6 right now with full Akra system.. Sounds pretty sweet, but.... not bad ***.

but nothing sounds better than a Harley IMO, Ducati with a dry clutch is a close 2nd

I really only like the I4s anymore when I'm on the track and truly on the gas.

Not a huge fan of the V4 Austin sound, I prefer the Akrapovic or Graves. The gear-driven V4s do also sound pretty good. First-gen R1 crossplane sounds pretty good, better than the new ones.
 
I've been hopelessly stuck on V-twins for a long time now.
Inline 4's just bore me. They put me to sleep. No personality. Yeah, smooth power, bla bla bla. not interested
 
For real insanity, the SC Project pipe... I almost put one on my 2013 and thought maybe it would be too loud.

+1 I know a guy who rides around on a 1000 SuperHawk with a puppy in the tank bag. She really barks.

Lucky me, I get to enjoy both :p For the record V4 > 1050 Triple..
I do on occasion miss the Buell V-Twin sound, but then I remember how quickly I'd hit the 7k redline :mad:

Love the Graves on my V4!
+1 on the first gen R1 crossplane. Sounded like a muscle car with a good pipe and tune :cool:
