light touring gloves

so i'm looking for a good pair of touring gloves, must be water proof, and light, but I don't want cold weather gloves as the heated grips take care of that, I need something that I can wear in July and August without boiling.
went to GP yesterday and when I said that to the guy he looked at me funny and said thee is no such thing as water proof and light.....I find that a little hard to believe, what do you guys think?

Thats what I use ....have an extra pair size 11 ....bought them - then realized I needed size 12
