Fork / shock rebuild - Should I bother?

I got a used bike with 56,000km. Its the first bike that I own that has a serviceable shock. Its Sachs shock and Showa forks. Should I bother getting these items serviced? Would I notice a significant improvement? How much would this kind of job cost and which shop would you recommend?

It's the oil that breaks down. Do you know if the spring was for your body weight? Are you able to achieve the proper sag?

Nice bike, it has good components to start with so having them serviced and the settings adjusted to your weight and riding style will yield a great return.

If it's never been done I would recommend getting them serviced. Check to see if the springs are correct for your weight and if not get them changed at the same time.

If you're in the GTA I'd go to Pro6 or Z1.
