Going to do the whole area sept 10-14 , besides the obvious world famous roads , looking for some suggestions on the less famous but still fun/scenic roads
we are staying in bryson city

My Favorite if the Cherohala skyway, old NC28 and even the loop around Robbinsville.
 
Google " the snake" and "back of the dragon" " the rattler" all great roads
 
Look up some of my ride reports - I think they are also in the sticky in this forum - I have many roads and routes mapped out.

We'll be riding down at the end of the month. We'll be staying closer to Robbinsville and doing these two routes below, which you might like as well. They are packed with many of the best roads in the area.

Route 2: https://goo.gl/maps/brQvA - Dragon 2x, Cherohala, N Georgia and Moonshiner Loop - 9hrs/600km
