Tools:

1. a rear bike stand
2. an oil pan
3. a funnel
4. gloves
5. 5 mm allen key
6. 12 and 8 mm sockets
7. socket wrench
8. new engine oil
9. oil filter
10. compression washer
11. and oil cap gasket

Torque settings:
Oil Drain Bolt: 18 lb ft
Oil Filter Cover Bolts: 9 lb ft

Very nice. It's the exact same parts and procedure on a CRF250L, minus the lower fairing bit. The only thing I do different is pop the filter into the engine and use some grease to keep the spring against the filter before putting the cap back on. Also, the local Honda dealer told me the filter cover gasket doesn't need to be replaced every time. I've used mine 4 times now and no leaks.

Those four filter bolts still give me nightmares....don't do them tight enough and it leaks and you have to take everything off and clean the gasket. Tighten them too much (even when only holding the ratchet by the head) and they snap in half.

Don't get me wrong, I loved that bike...but I'll be happy if I never have to deal with a filter design like that again (love the spin-on used for my CBR650F...it's just like a car).

always informative, great videos, hope you keep it up man. i dont even own the bike and i watched the entire thing.
