Marchensini 10 spoke new cush rubber

I was wondering if anyone here has tried these newer Japanese Cushes for the Marchesini 10 spoke?

They appear better fit and finish than the Mottosport ones and claim to be a better compound "Iron" Polyurethane and redesigned shape (one side has a curve) that apparently enhances the rebound properties. I have done a fair bit of research and the earlier Marchessini ones were crap, but apparently they have up graded there compound years ago as well. Most that I have been able to find on line are repops not made by or for Marcehsini so you really do not know what the quality or useful life will be.

These ones are expensive at just over $100 for the set plus shipping. I don't mind spending the extra $50 bucks if they are going to last a few years longer life and better response which they claim, but I would hate to spend the money and have them wear out in a few months?

When I had my Marchesini 10 spokes I ended up buying a couple sets off some website that I dont even remember. They were a clear color and looked like this :

I never ended up needing the second set as the first held up MUCH better (did close to 1500km on track with no slop) then the ones that came with the wheels which got slack after just 1 track day on the 1000... The second set are in my basement somewhere along with a brand new sprocket carrier that I never used.

As for the link you posted not sure how much difference the curve would make but I would trust it more coming from Japan then if it was coming from china...

Edit*
Just found the guy that made them, his name was Timm Goldsmith, there is a whole thread on the marchesini issue on the 13x forums. From the look of it though I dont think he makes them anymore.

Sorry for hacking your thread... but what is the purpose of the Cushes? Thanks...

They provide a cushion between the rear chain sprocket (carrier) and the rear wheel hub. Makes for a smoother transition of power so that you do not have metal to metal contact. Provides a little bit of give/slack. Every motorcycle I have ever owned has had some type of cush. When they get too sloppy it is hard on the other drive components including the transmission.

Tripod on the Ducati forum provided the following link:

Downunder,
Thanks That provides some comfort that they are using better materials, although I don't see anyone that has the yellowy translucent cushes anywhere, they are all black. I just have to hope that they are improvements and not some flyby night trying to make a quick buck. That was an extremely interesting post with Timm. I had tried to contact Timm, but other post indicated he had fallen off the radar years ago. to see if he still supplied as through that post you could see how they had tweaked the formula through several iterations to get something that worked well. I am pretty sure I had seen that he was getting feed back on the formulation from more that just the Ducati site. I suspect that the formulation he came up with may be what is being used in most that you can find today.
