Deals Gap or Ozarks - End of September

Heading to either Deals Gap or the Ozarks for some twisty madness around the last week of September. Prefer camping but open to motels and expect to be riding for about a week.

Quick but responsible pace - less highways the better as I'm looking for very twisty and scenic back roads. I'm riding a Vstrom 650 and hoping to do at least 8hrs day riding.

If anyone is interested to join, I'm flexible on the dates of travel and routes too.

Cheers!

Dunno if it helps, but I'm going to be in the Deals Gap area (staying near Franklin NC) Sept 26 - 30. I will be taking my bike in my van.

Where are you staying, Brian? Some folk here are trying to get me to go down again.

Carolina Motel, 2601 Georgia Road, Franklin NC. It is just south of town on 23/441.

If I went down there, I would be there around the same dates too and it would be great to hit up a few nice roads together. I would be camping at Ironhorse, not too far from Fontana Dam. I might try to squeeze in both Ozarks and Smokies if no one else comes with me.

Looks like it will be just Deals Gap once again.
Leaving Mississauga on Sept 22nd. Returning Sept 30th
There's a bunch of Vstroms at Ironhorse that weekend, but I'm not sure if they are doing offroad or not - I'm all pavement and am up for whatever as long as it's relentless twisties...

Here's some rough routes of what I'm hoping to do.

Day 1: https://goo.gl/maps/Vwg3A - Home to Hungry Mother State Park via Monongahela - 12hrs/1114km
Day 2: https://goo.gl/maps/6wUFH - Hungry Mother to IronHorse - 11hrs/676km
Day 3: https://goo.gl/maps/OWIwT - Devils Triangle, Little River, Canada Rd Loop - 10hrs/664km
Day 4: https://goo.gl/maps/Ie5mF - Dragon, Cherohala and Moonshiner Loop - 10hrs/613km
Day 5: ??
Day 6: https://goo.gl/maps/KtEI2 - Ironhorse to Willville via Blue Ridge and 10hrs/572km
Day 7: https://goo.gl/maps/v3GdO - Willville to Somerset PA via WV 250, 33, Smoke Hole, 11hrs/800km
Day 8: https://goo.gl/maps/3PFWX - Somerset PA to Home via PA144, Kettle Creek and Coudersport 8hrs/650km

Didn't see this one ;)
I'm ok with whatever as well, just figure the dates you have give us 8 days riding nd 6 days off work.
If we take the mon-frid it gives us 9 days riding with 5 days off work. Just better riding vs wallet ratio ;).
I'll find out today.
This is a weather dependant ride I'm assuming?

I'm going down no matter the weather, but can adjust the dates if there is a big storm worth avoiding. I have heated gear and waterproof stuff. And the 9 day thing is also better for riding around down there with less traffic. Camping or motels?

I am off the week after, would love to join if for some reason this trip gets posponed to the week after. I'll keep checking

We can camp and motel to get the best of both, but if there's three people in then splitting motels is fast and cheap. If the weather is nice, I do like to sleep in a tent outside in the fresh air. Either way, I'm good.
