A man is in hospital in critical condition after a collision between an SUV and a motorcycle in Mississauga Sunday night, Peel paramedics confirm.
The accident occurred at around 6:45 p.m. on Dixie road, just south of Dundas Street at Blundell Road, and the 53-year-old male motorcyclist suffered serious head and chest injuries, according to paramedics.
The circumstances that led up to the crash are not known at this time as police continue to investigate.
Police say the driver of the SUV was uninjured and is cooperating with investigators.
It is not known whether charges will be laid.
Dixie Road from Dundas Street to the Queensway was closed to traffic Sunday night.
