your option, but why N.Ontario instead of cutting across the states? Would be cheaper and quicker an better services available en route.

When we travelled to Saskatoon, we went via the South route, it was quicker. Returned on the North route, a little slower, less services, but more scenic

I work between the GTA and Sudbury and do a lot of wakey wakey eggs n bakey. Not many options close to 400...if you don't mind going into Parry Sound there is a nice little breky diner at Bowes and River St.
Right in Barrie there are a few..like a Sunset grill off Molson Park west side of 400...also a breky place immediately north of 400 on Bayfield. if you are in a big hurry you might wind up with Timmies....not great but fast....one in Port Severn and the other just south of Parry Sound
