Big Chute Road - Construction?

I'm pretty certain I read somewhere on the forum that Big Chute Road was under construction.

Does anyone have an update on it?

I was just saying to forum member hedo2002 that i want to make a trip up that way and hit this road and some others. He said he thought he read to that there was some construction.

Yeah I posted that there was a lot of construction on it. The road was passable on street bikes, but it was pretty bumpy and messy, so much so that it would probably be pretty slippery in the rain. But that was almost 2 months ago and work has been crazy, so I haven't been out on a ride since

I can't find any info online or on the Simcoe County GIS website, but I found the EA report saying the road will undergo a full reconstruction. This was issued in Nov 2014

It needed it. Haven't been on it since 2013 but it was getting proper rough even then.

Upper Big Chute Road is very rough from south of Big Chute to the Severn Falls Marina. Trees are being cleared on either side of the roadway in that area, but no actual road work. The other parts of the road all the way to Coldwater have been repaved.
