Tour to Montreal and back - Any tips?

My buddy and I are thinking to ride to Montreal and back to Toronto. Any tips related to road/location/things to see etc would be appreciated.

Ideally, we want to leave early morning and come back late in the evening.

I'm going friday until next week. That said the 401 is boring. Either take a northern route and leave lots of time or go through ny. I have time on my side so I'm riding to Otsego lake and staying the night then on to Montreal the next day. Last time I went to coudersport pa and took the really long way.

If your bikes aren't totally stock, common and compliant,
then it might be best to stay out of
Québec.
It's not always the friendliest of Provinces.

I speak english only :p

Bikes are gixxer 750 and r6. One has hotbodies megaphone slip on and other has two bros with cat removed. Both bikes have fender eliminators. Are we screwed? We just want to cruise there, no shenanigans.

north of montreal theres the Chemin de Mille Ile which is kinda nice off Boulevard de la salette, then follow with chemin du lac anne and chemin des lacs... twisties galore

but thats north of montreal, like 1h north.
