Hey everyone,

I'm from the DSE Automotive Sportsman Racing Series, we are a sportsman level Drag racing organization that runs events at Toronto Motorsports Park and St Thomas Dragway.

We are currently running in our 4th Championship season and offer a wide variety of classes at our events.

Two categories that we have specifically for Bike (as well as sled) enthusiasts are Super Bike/Sled and Street Bike Eliminator.

The Street Bike Eliminator class is geared towards street legal bikes (No wheelie bars, no delay boxes DOT stamped drive tire, OEM style electronics only) Its a bracket class where we handicap the start of the race based off of your Dial-in. It is also run on a .500 PRO TREE (all three amber lights flash at once).

Cost is $30 at the TMP gate, and you come buy a $5 Tech card off us at our Registration Trailer. Normal price to test and tune is $40, so its actually cheaper to race then time trial! You do not have to be a series member to race either

Bonus is if you lose early, you can slide over into the designated Test and Tune lanes and make passes still for the remainder of the day. Winner and Runner-up both leave with Trophies. Its a No pressure class based around racers who may not be new to the track, but are new to racing at the track.

This class runs both days of our events, meaning we run a complete race on Saturday, then do it again on Sunday. You do not have to be at the track all weekend to race as its a new race each day.

The Super Bike/SLed class is designed for those Bikes that wish to run Wheelie bars, air/electric shifters, Slicks and/or other bracket racing electronics and devices. The class is still set-up as a Dial in class and it runs on a .400 PRO TREE.

The entry fee is $30 at the gate and $60 Tech card at our registration trailer, however there are Cash prizes available to those who win 2 or more rounds of eliminations. There is a Points Program for this class if you wish to join it, however membership in general is not mandatory, you only have to be a member to be included in the points aspect.

Like Street Bike this class is run each day of a two day weekend, so if you can only commit to one day thats okay.

Both classes are run 1/4 mile at TMP (unless track conditions dictate otherwise)

This up coming weekend (June 19-21) is our 2nd event in the 5 event series this year, and as a bonus the Saturday race features the NHRA "King of the Track" Wally Trophy Race, Where each main event class winner (including Street Bike and Super Bike) has a one run shot at taking home the coveted NHRA trophy as well as a bonus $250 cash!

Weather is looking great for the event. If you have never tried actual racing on the Drag Track side before this is a great opportunity for you to give it chance. Saturday morning we will also be holding an informal Walk through session for those who are new to running in either the Super Bike or Street Bike Categories.

The Walk through Session will be begin at 10 am behind the DSE Registration Trailer. A DSE Super Bike Competitor will walk you through the ins and outs of what you need to know and do on race day with the series. They will also go through starting line procedures and give some tips on how to achieve the best results and putting on win lights.

If you have any questions feel free to e-mail the race series at dsesportsmanracingseries@gmail.com

See you at the track!

Andrew
