Craft Beer: What are you drinking now??

Was really good. Sampled about 14 different new beers and had a great time with the Miss' and a few buddies.

Ludacris concert was great. Entire crowd got right into it.

Was disappointed that Bellwoods was not there, and Great Lakes didn't bring anything new or exciting.

Flying Monkeys had a TON of one offs, the most notable being the 2016 Invictus Bourbon Barrel Aged Russian Imp stout.

An enjoyably bright IPA for a warm summer day.

Looks refreshing!

Had the Delirium red yesterday.
It was super disappointing.
Sickly sweet syrupy cherry flavor. I didn't even finish it...

But it's in the wrong glass. Shame, shame. ;)
Look away :)

Village Monk Chai Winter Porter. I really enjoy the porter style. It was nice but not a big stand out. Still a hundred times better than the "buck a beer" coming soon to Ontario.

Thx! Appreciate the Delerium Red feedback.

Cheers!

Went to the new Bar Hop location on the Danforth.

Absolutely abysmal service from the staff despite the place being 3/4 empty.

The one highlight was their home brew Libertine Sour Weisse.

Also! The GF got a PT job in the taproom at CommonGood Brewing!

Passing through Shawinigan a week ago so picked up a “pugnatiously strong beer” called Shawinigan Handshake with Jean Chrétien on the label, made by Trou du Diable. Will open it soon and report back. I got it more for the label!

I really enjoy Bar Hop on King West. It's still a very highly reviewed beer pub with some top notch food. I hope the overall Danforth service is better than your experience. :confused2:

I enjoy the Saison style which can be hard to get and this one was reasonably nice.

Bar Hop downtown is vastly superior in service and experience.

I've had the Granville.

Spent some time sampling all of their wares at the brewpub when I was in VanCity last summer!

Made a trip out to Durham and stopped at Brock St., and 5 Paddles.

From Brock St.
Brocktoberfest - 3.25/5
Armoured Ale - 2.5/5

From 5 Paddles
Haunted Home Sweet Home - 3/5
In Your Face w/Habanero - 3/5
Atomic Wedgie Porter - 3.5/5
Mount Crushmore - 2.5/5
Grim Reaper Pumpkin Stout - 4/5
Coconut Cream Pie - 3.5/5
Million Dollar Shag - 3.25/5

Then stopped at Muddy York and grabbed...
Switchboard Session IPA - 3.75/5
Foxhunter Sour - 4/5
Foxhunter Sour w/Kiwi - 3.5/5
Strawberry / Mango Sour - 3.5/5
Cervisia Saison w/lemon and basil - 3.5/5

Smashbomb Atomic IPA - no longer special in Ontario but still completely tasty.

Had the Dark Horse Brewing, Bourbon Barrel Aged, "Plead the 5th" Russian Imp. Stout at a bar in Detroit yesterday.

12% ABV. Super dark, super malty, super boozy.

A nice warm up on a chilly afternoon.

^^^
Haven't had that one yet.
LCBO?

Years ago I think it was at the LCBO for a bit (from what I remember). But not for a long time now. My recent access is from out of province.

Old Engine Oil is relatively rare but somewhat consistently sourceable in NA.

On a related note, I also have an Ola Dubh Special 40 bottle from years back with the same brewer. It's in the cellar :). Last review in this link is from January.
