CANADA'S Largest Motorcycle racing event is here!!!!! June 19-21 at Grand Bend Motorplex. This is the event not to be missed if you are a motorcycle fan. SOAR Superbike Series heads out on the Modified layout for Round #2 with a full lineup of exciting classes including a three hour endurance race. All of this while simultaneously on the drag strip motorcycle racers show the crowd the explosive sport known as motorcycle drag racing. First on Saturday with the all brand Summer Sizzler event and then on Sunday the Harley By The Beach including the Nitro Harleys. Anyone who has seen these 800hp monsters run can attest this is not one to be missed.
SOAR competitors please note the attached paddock map. As we are cramped in due to the high volume of drag racers and spectators it is imperative that we set up our pit area to maximize space available. PLEASE park nose in against the fence or grass. Nobody is to be parallel on outside edges only up the middle back to back. We WILL move you if you ignore. Its only courteous to your fellow competitors. Also if you are just supporting a racer and not racing please find a spot in the grass and do not take up paved paddock. All tow vehicles will be parked in grass area adjacent to the pits NOT ON PAVED PITS. Please leave space around pits to pass crash rig and ambulance. The map is only for pits that are on or attached to pavement there are 85 spots on pavement, 9 on grass with access on pavement, 13 gravel with access on pavement. If you are ok to pit on grassy area or gravel please feel free to pit there.
So get your pre-entries in and I will see you there.

What going on sunday? I've never seen a race and was hoping to catch it on the sunday.
Sunday is the day you wanna be there then. all the finals are sunday.

last year I saw a lot of guys running the strip that were not racers. They do make you have full safety gear..don't expect to run it in flipflops and shorts...although that would be fun to watch

This sounds like a lot of fun to go too. As an ex-bike drag racer what could be better than drag racing and circuit racing in the same weekend! Any idea what the admission is for spectators?

You can buy a test & tune card and make laps on the dragstrip Sat or Sun - cost is $30 - you have to have shoes/boots that cover the ankles, Leather jacket & gloves, pants (Jeans are Fine) Full helmet ( can be rented from us if you don't).
Spectator admission $20 Sat $20 Sun. kids 6-12 $5.

Just an FYI - As many of you know who have come to this weekend before some of the SOAR competitors will need to pit in the Speedway pit area due to our requirement to keep a section of the asphalt pits open for the hundreds of bikes (mostly Harleys) that showup Sunday to park. The Speedway pit area has a main asphalt pit road that runs through it but was not fully connected with the Dragway pit area so you had to roll your bike over about 70ft of gravel between the 2. That section was paved today- so anyone pitted in the Speedway now has a clean Asphalt roadway/path to/from Pit in/out. We will also have someone working the Speedway gate 9am- 5pm so you can go in/out that way during the day if need be.

Hehe. Who's that sneaking by, visible on the rear camera on the default screen that youtube gives for the last one?
