At 7:09 p.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing very strong wind gusts, dime to nickel size hail and heavy rain.

The north to south line of thunderstorms is over extreme western Lake Erie and moving northeast. These thunderstorms are capable of producing wind gusts to 100 km/h. Hail to 2 cm in diameter and heavy downpours may also be associated

it's moving in on far S western Ontario right now but it's also moving very very fast.

This system has killed people in the US. Tread carefully.

Yeah I didn't think it would be moving in this fast.... I get off work @ 1230 and i rode in. I'm a little scared it might hit here.. Worse case scenario I leave the bike here and get a ride from a co-worker. I'm by the Airport and heading towards Markham area...

The way this thing is motoring might be through by then. Look how far that brute has moved in 45 min.

Yeah I've been monitoring it also since the warnings came in. Only claims 1 mm of rain so fingers crossed. For me it's the wind that always get me worried.

Luckily I left the bike home

How do you know the timeline of those loops? where it says "2308 UTC" and the date? Sorry, I'm a weather noob!!

It's real time feed from the radars.

Only an hour out of the GTA now I'd guess

first round might skid by to the north

Buddy in Owen Sound can see the lightning

I'm outside and can feel the first breaths of air in front of the squall line.

Time to pack in the outside computing tho it's still an hour away.

First band will miss GTA

No rain at all here. I regret not riding

Now today looks like ass. Dark and windy as hell up here. I want a good solid 2 weeks of 40 degrees :D

They call for thunderstorms here later today. I probably wouldn't get wet but I don't want my bike to get blown down while parked at work

First world problems...

It's far from over...

Severe thunderstorm watch in effect for:

City of Toronto
Conditions are favourable for the development of dangerous thunderstorms that may be capable of producing damaging wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain.

Thunderstorms are expected to begin this afternoon and persist into early evening.

This storm system has so far caused 19 deaths in Texas alone

http://www.foxnews.com/weather/2015...eavy-rain-forecasted-to-drench-central-texas/

I suspect the cooler than normal Great Lakes are knocking down the severe thermal activity.
Was interesting to watch last night as severe fronts just dissolved.

I rode today, hope sht don't hit the fan after I get off work
