I think he was holding the clutch in - it won't help if it's not actually the motor and the transmission has locked up for some reason
 
That is CBX 750 Honda or 1984 CB750SC over here. They blew up under regular use let alone being held well into the redline. Poor old bike didn't deserve that abuse.
 
Wow. Flys by and then waves them down to help? I would have stopped and told him to go **** himself then left.....

thats exactly what i thought.. buddy managed to hold it up well and not panic, well.. hm.. fallen? lol glad hes alright really
