5000 bikes expected! 17,000 people liked the Rave last weekend on Facebook, and 10,000 showed! That's the most people they've ever seen for one event. So this is going to be huge!

I am in touch with the organizers of this event and made the suggestion of Stunters Inc. showing up for a paid gig. The main beach will be closed off for you to do your thing. Stunters Inc members PM me so I can put you in touch with the right person. Thanks!

This sounds like fun!

Stunters Inc still around? Anyone see them at L&L or 403 & Dundas? This is the opportunity of a lifetime for a stunt group to show their skills to a mass of people. And maybe even make friends with some OPP as they'll be watching. You can't not smile while watching these guys!

Reminder, I'm hearing of 5000 bikes. This could very well happen as 10,000 showed up to the Rave! There's a new Mayor in Wasaga Beach... he really is putting new life back into the place. It's so busy on weekends now. There's a bill before this new Mayor to open ATV trails, I don't see him denying this as he's a motorcycle enthusiast.

Not very often riders get a letter of welcome, nicely written.

it really seems like no one gives two ***** about this thread other than you...

Yeah won't be going ANYWHERE near this event. Thanks but no. Sure 17,000 on FB liked a rave and 10,000 showed. do you really think your going to get ANYWHERE near those numbers for a motorcycle rally? It would be like Dover on a HOT july weekend, riding into town at 4 km/h..lol.

I am going to New Liskeard, this weekend, BUT I am also leaving the area EARLY sunday morning, so I don't have to deal with "12 miles of motorcycles" all "cruising" at average of 40 km/h on 80 K roads...

This is this weekend. Bring your, or wear your shorts / bikinis under your gear (if you wear gear). It gets hot fast, you will want to cool off in the water. Have a napsack and a dedicated watchdawg. 5000 bikes expected to start rolling in on Friday.. Any questions, shoot me a PM. Have fun!

It's inaugural. I think most are watching and waiting. This could very easily become Ontario's Sturgess. The scenery alone is worth the ride. Unless you have something against scantily clad women looking to party. Wasaga is going onward and upward. A casino coming next year. It's exciting to see Ontario doing so well. There are some alternate routes in if anyone wants them posted.

Going there Saturday AM early. Only an hour from my house to the beach. Hoping to wander around the shoe-shine, catch a few sights, then the show. I'm only going for the day because camping is sold out. I'm guessing the OPP will be there with RIDE handing out tickets for loud pipes and anything else they can cash in on. Guaranteed to be a huge crowd there. Weather is going to be steamy hot. Be cool to meet a few GTAM members there. Probably have lunch and a couple of beers, then head home after the alcohol wears off, or sleep it off in a farmer's field.

Surprisingly, the OPP presence seems sparse this season. Maybe the new Mayor sent them packing.

They were more interested in the Hells Angels than anything when I was there. They were taking pictures of their bikes and their plates. I can't say I was impressed by the entire event. Lots of nice bikes there, but almost nowhere you could go to drink a cool beer in the shade. The bars were crowded and had lineups to get in. Had the usual bike gear vendors, which is always convenient. It was kind of surreal really, all these bikers in a place full of families with young kids on the beach. Harley guys were there early, with the younger sport bike crowd drifting in later in the day. I doubt I would go again. The traffic congestion at Wasaga combined with the heat was a big turnoff.

As expected. It seemed like an awesome ride and event but, considering the number of people and the heatwave, I decided to go to a BBQ and have a better day with a cold beer in hand.

Bit of a negative review, surreal yes, couldn't believe how well behaved everyone was and the atmosphere was great. All good summer vibes. Only popo we passed were talking bikes. Will post some video. It's still going on all day Sunday if you want to make the drive.

So I'm a little confused. L&L and KC are full of posers but this even was cool? Isn't it the same thing except it's an hour north? Wasaga lost its appeal years ago. What restaurants/pubs still exist are terrible. Its crowded hot and theres virtually no shade. Add the heat we've had and I don't get events like this. To each their own and all but along with many others I'm not upset I missed this.
