So I need a condition appraisal for my 03 r6 for insurance. Does anyone know which shops do this and the cost?

Doesn't the insurance company send someone of their own to appraise the bike?

Apparently not. They want an appraisal/evaluation of the motorcycle in order to have comprehensive.

No it is the owners responsibility. The insurer will at times recommend certain locations.

Andrew,

The broker or insurance company typically has a couple they can recommend as the request is fairly standard.

Sorry I don't know of one in Scarborough.

It's rare that an insurance company would ask for an appraisal with this type of the vehicle. Occasionally they may want pictures but that should be it. Which insurance company are you dealing with?

03 r6. wawanesa. Im gonna try shooting some pics and sending it to the agent. hopefully that will suffice.

Wawanesa was terrible to me. Just a warning. They were upset that I wanted my car painted properly. The broker called me annoying when I left them because I asked too many questions to ensure I wasn't breaking any insurance rules.

appraisal on an 03? by that standard by 2000 ninja500 is a vintage!

I'm with wawanesa (so is my car...maybe that's something relevant?). I've never needed to get an appraisal...06 Vulcan 900, and 84 KZ 750.

They needed one from me for my 1987 Porsche 944.

Could be that I don't have collision/comprehensive on the KZ, since its not worth much anyway

sorry to revive an old thread but im in the same boat now. 04 r6. wawanesa is saying any bike more than 10 years old needs to be appraised. op, were you able to find a place and do they need the full report or just a certificate?
