VStar 1300 owners, a question

Been surfing Kijiji the last little while and noticed a ton of Vstar 1300's for sale with 18,000-25,000 km, most of them 08's and 09's. I've always heard that these were very reliable bikes. Are owners selling them at this point because they are 6-7 years old and they just want something different, or is there something mechanical that has them wanting to sell them at this point?

I have an '09 tourer. Awesome bike with absolutely zero problems. Will be keeping it for a long time.

Airbox mod, Cobra slipon, K&N filter, and Cobra FMS, and the bike woke up. Lots of power, and very comfortable (with new handbars).

I own a Yamaha Stryker 1300... similar engine.. and will be due for its first valve adjustment at 24k. If I were to buy a new bike, I could see why people would target that mileage range. It can be an expensive job. Otherwise, the engines really are bulletproof if maintained properly.
