Rip rider. Wide open intersection, looks like a 250,tragic and entirely unnecessary.

NORTHUMBERLAND — A motorcyclist died in hospital following a collision Wednesday morning. The man on the motorcyle collided with an SUV on Oak Ridges Drive around 7:40 a.m. on April 15. The SUV was travelling north on McKinlay Road while the man on the motorcycle was eastbound on Oak Ridges Drive, or County Road 9, when they collided, said Const. Steve Bates. A motorcyclist died following a collision near Gores Landing this morning.

Northumberland OPP responded to the collision between a motorcycle and a jeep around 7:45 a.m. at the intersection of Oak Ridges Drive (County Road 9) and McKinlay Road.

Emergency personnel were performing CPR on the motorcyclist before he was taken to Northumberland Hills Hospital. He was wearing a helmet.

The female driver of the Jeep was not injured.

The road was closed for several hours while police investigated.

The man’s name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

RIP. I didn't see mention of the rider's age though, just gender.

he was 21...sucks to see a fellow red 250 looking like that.

I remember I came across a scene where a 22 year old died on Eglinton just east of Hurontario. Usually younger guys on these bikes, and despite them being under powered, girls bikes, scooters whatever you want to call them...the dangers are just as real.
 
Just checked google map, McKinlay Road has a stop sign at that intersection. I didn't see any stop sign for Oak Ridges.
