Hello
Cyclepeople!

I'm restoring an 86' Kawasaki Gpz 1000R and have noticed that the 2 temperature indcator wires from the "radiator cap" are not connected. Will this cause the bike to overheat or does the waterpump automatically regulate the coolant temperature. I do have the schematic wiring diagram

Reading a wiring diagram is not unlike navigating a motorcycle forum.

My guess would be the temperature sensor is for the rad fans, and possibly to kill the bike if it's overheating to the point the engine is going to be damaged. I'm not sure though. I had a quick look for the service manual and gave up after 30 seconds.
